Summer stones
"Thanks to a 'stone-on-stone setting,' the metal disappears to give way to color and brilliance. The fine stones are at once the body, the shoulder, and the head of these rings."

Who
Who is Agate Perido?
Agate Perido is an imaginary character, a woman whose personality embodies the brand. She is free and doubtful, both superficial and deep, full of contradictions. A compendium of the women who gravitate around me and who inspire me!
What does the name Agate Perido mean?
These are two gemstone names, agate and peridot, that I chose to combine to create a stage name. Stones are the starting point of my creative adventure.
Fascinated by their origin, their color, their presence since the dawn of time in the history of man, I like to associate them, according to my desires.
Who is behind Agate Perido?
My name is Marine Durand-Ruel. I'm French, a mother of four, and I live in Lisbon. After studying law and political science, I worked for 20 years in political communications. Moving to Portugal gave me the opportunity to dive into a world I've always dreamed of: jewelry.
I wanted to create original, colorful rings with soft lines that were suited to real life—rings you can run after your kids with without getting caught on anything. So I started designing jewelry I wanted to wear: pieces designed for all occasions, bold, with bold volumes and a style all their own.
It's both the beginning of a new adventure and the culmination of a creative quest. The story I tell through my jewelry is that of an Agate Perido woman, a mix of myself, my daughters, my friends, and heroines from films or novels. My jewelry is handcrafted in small batches in Portugal. They are unique pieces!

Agate and Me

Agate Perido and I are like two inseparable friends! I love her for her irrepressible need to escape the everyday, her slightly impertinent sense of humor, and her ability to take things with a certain nonchalance. With her, anything is possible!
For us, jewelry is like a secret language: a gateway to a quirky world. We enjoy breaking the mold, experimenting with unexpected techniques, and mixing materials to surprise.
Each stone is chosen for its brilliance and character, and assembled as if marrying two strong personalities.
